    • KNOW OUR PACKAGING
      As much as we love our products and how carefully they are handled and handcrafted in our factories, it is utmost important for us to secure these products while in transit for the safety of the goods, considering that unpredictable and multiple handling at times may damage these goods. We secure most of the goods with multilayer packaging involving Plastic wraps, Bubble sheet, Foam sheets, Foam Corners, piece securing corrugated sheets etc. all packed in a Heavy gauge corrugated boxes and secured with locked plastic strips. To further secure these, we sometimes pack them with the wooden crates in some cases, if required. 


    • OPENING THE PACKAGING
      Once you receive the goods, please note that the delivery person is not authorised or allowed by our logistics partner to wait while you are opening the goods. However, in case you see any extreme visible damage to the external packaging, you should show the same to the delivery personnel and open the goods yourself or with the help of a local carpenter (if there is a wooden crate) and inspect the same. We also advise you to take pictures of the damaged product or external packaging and send a mail to care@kaalzua.com with the order details, for us to take the case up with our logistics partner. The note of the damage should also be made on the Proof of Delivery Slip or Airway Bill (AWB).Please note that as we ship our products to multiple locations in India, it is not possible for us to arrange personnel for opening these packages.


    • IMPORTANT: Please note that the Delivery Personnel are not obliged or authorised to open/ assemble the furniture or packages. Please note that their duty is to deliver the goods to the customer and they are not directly employed with Kaalzua Design Technologies Pvt Ltd and work with the Third Party Logistics companies. You are requested to cooperate with them and not force them to open the crates, packages etc. Please note that any failed delivery due to refusal or unavailability and any subsequent attempts to deliver the goods will be charged extra by Kaalzua Design Technologies Pvt Ltd or the Logistics partner.


    • ASSEMBLY OF FURNITURE
      We advise our esteemed customers to read the assembling instructions booklet provided along with the product packing, before assembling the DIY products. Our entire range of products and furnitures involve special joinery without the use of screws, nails or glue. The locking mechanism using brass electroplated rods can be attached to the assembled parts by going through the booklet provided. The upholstery can be placed in the slots provided for the same. Before using the product, please ensure that no piece is left out as each piece has a special role to play in the entire product.


    • IF YOU ARE NOT HOME AND THE PACKAGE ARRIVES
      Typically, you will get a call from the Courier Company/ Logistics partner confirming the tentative date and the time of delivery. However, as we do not have any direct control over the courier partners/ logistics partner, we cannot guarantee that they will act only in certain manner or will necessarily call before getting your order for delivery. We also request you to give correct address and phone no. details at the time of placing the order. If you are planning to travel and you will be unavailable on the contact number given earlier, please inform us in advance so that we can plan the shipping and delivery as per your convenience.


  • HOLDING COST OR DELAYED DELIVERY CHARGES
    Holding Cost will be applicable to your order if the order is ready for dispatch but has been withheld in our warehouse on your request.We offer a grace period 2 weeks to hold your order in our warehouse; in the event of your non-availability to accept the order delivery, post this a 'Holding Cost' or 'Delayed Delivery Cost' will be applicable to your total order value on a monthly basis. We will notify you via an e-mail with a detailed breakup of the charges levied (on a monthly basis) and/or bill you pro-rata for the number of days (in case its less than a month that the order delivery has been withheld on your request). The 'Holding Cost' is calculated at the rate of 5% against the total value of the order. An 18% GST is applicable for this service. The same policy will also be applicable for partial orders withheld in our facility on your request. The 'Holding Cost' have to be paid for, before we dispatch your order from our warehouse.
